The Bytown Voices is a non-audition community choir made up of more than 60 enthusiastic singers from across the National Capital region (Ottawa/Gatineau and surrounding area).  

We perform

  • two concerts each year, often with other choirs and frequently with guest soloists. 

  • additional outreach choral events at seniors' residences and long-term care facilities. 

Bytown Voices has operated continuously for 25 years. Our director of music is Joan Fearnley and our accompanist is Carla Klassen.

The choir is open to singers of all ages from 9 to 99 and includes soprano, alto, tenor and bass voices.  No audition is required to join.

We are funded mainly through fees, ticket sales, sponsorships and fundraising activities. We are seeking your financial support, post covid, to assist us in the presentation of quality musical programs for the community. The choir accepts donations at various levels and all donations and assistance receive recognition in our concert programs, on our choir website and elsewhere according to donation level.

Bytown Voices Community Choir is most appreciative of any support a sponsor is able to provide. There are three donor categories.  

   Major sponsor/donor:  $500 +/year      

   Benefits      

  • Name and logo in concert program

  • Listing and link on Bytown Voices website and Facebook page

  • 4 complimentary tickets to each concert

   Supporter: Between $51-$499/year 

     Benefits

   Friend of Bytown Voices: between $25 and $50/year

       Benefits

   Donations-in-kind:  are placed in the appropriate category on a case-by-case basis.
